The Subaru EJ25 2.5L closed-deck flat-four that was installed under current ownership was built by Emerald Coast Performance Machine of Pensacola, Florida, and tuned by Snail Performance of Phoenix, Arizona. Features reportedly include a VF39 turbocharger, an 11mm oil pump, Manley pistons, port and polished heads, King bearings, and ARP studs. An oil change was performed in February 2023.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Rancho Pro Drag four-speed manual transaxle that is said to have been resealed under current ownership and fitted with a replacement clutch, throwout bearing, and one-piece axle boots. The transaxle fluid was changed in February 2023.
