This is a relist after the car was previously listed on BaT in September 2022 and withdrawn due to weather-related power outages and evacuations. We were glad to hear that both the seller and the car made it through the storm without incident, and are happy to be able to relist the car for the seller.
Steel 15″ wheels wear chrome hubcaps with faux spinners and are mounted with BFGoodrich Silvertown whitewall tires. A spare is stored in the trunk. Drum brakes at all four corners were reportedly overhauled during the refurbishment.
The cabin was refreshed after the seller’s acquisition and features bucket seats reupholstered in red vinyl complemented by a replacement color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, carpets, and sun visors. Equipment includes lap belts, a heater, a Wonder Bar AM radio, a clock, bright trim, and a dash-mounted rearview mirror. The seller states that the radio was rebuilt during the refurbishment.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a sweeping 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer as well as gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, battery status, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 76k miles, approximately 3k of which have been added by the current owner. The speedometer and gauges were reportedly refurbished by the seller.
The 283ci V8 is topped with a single carburetor, and power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Said to have been rebuilt under previous ownership, the engine is equipped with orange valve covers as well as a chrome air-cleaner housing and ignition cover.
