The fiberglass body is finished in red, and additional details include color-matched fender coves, aluminum rocker-panel moldings, and fender vents as well as quad round taillights and creased rear fenders. The car is not equipped with a soft top, and “fuel injection” badges were added by a previous owner. Black-painted steel wheels feature chrome covers with faux knock-off spinners and wear 225/70 Arizonian thin-whitewall tires. Wilwood disc brakes are installed up front with dual master cylinders, and the car rides on replacement springs, shocks, king pins, tie rods, bushings, and rear leaf springs that were installed as part of a suspension overhaul in 2015.
The cockpit features low-back bucket seats trimmed in black vinyl along with a color-matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a dash-mounted mirror, a heater, a passenger-side grab handle, and GM-branded lap belts. A Bluetooth vintage-style radio equipped with USB connectivity is installed and linked to Pioneer speakers speakers mounted within each footwell. The seller notes that the radio does not have ectromagnetic shielding and occasionally cuts out.
A vintage-style 15″ diameter steering wheel frames a painted instrument surround housing a sweeping 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer, as well as gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, amperage, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 71k miles, approximately 4,200 of which have been added by the seller. True mileage is unknown. The stock 17″ steering wheel is included in the sale.
The replacement 327ci V8 was reportedly installed during prior ownership, and was rebuilt in 2018 by Superior Machine of Sparks, Nevada, with a .040″ overbore, ICON forged pistons, SCAT 6″ connecting rods, and a hydraulic camshaft. The block was hot-tanked and machined, and a high-volume oil pump was fitted along with an oversized road racing oil pan, ACL rod and cam bearings and Edelbrock cylinder heads with port-matched intake and exhaust ports. An auxiliary SPAL electric pusher fan and larger engine-driven radiator fan blades were installed, and further details include an Edelbrock air cleaner and finned valve covers.
An alternator was installed and the entire wiring harness was replaced under current ownership. The engine suffix code and casting numbers are displayed in the gallery below along with the removed cylinder heads and other parts that will accompany the car. An oil change was completed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Borg-Warner T10 four-speed manual transmission. Additional photos showing the suspension, chassis, and driveline, as well as corrosion on portions of the mechanical components are presented in the gallery below.
