The body received an engine- and glass-out repaint in olive green with flat-black side stripes and rear Porsche script. Backdated bodywork includes a long hood, and other modifications consist of widened steel fenders, aftermarket bumpers, R-style taillights, a louvered deck lid, and Lexan side and rear windows. Service in preparation for the sale included re-gluing the rear bumper and deck lid seal and installing replacement sun roof seals.
Bronze-finished 16″ Fuchs-style wheels measuring 8″ and 9″ wide front to rear are wrapped in BFGoodrich g-Force Sport Comp-2 tires. The front brakes were sourced from a 1991 Porsche 964 911, and suspension modifications include the installation of aftermarket adjustable coilovers. The inner and outer rear CV joint gaskets were replaced in March 2021.
The cabin features power-adjustable sport seats with black upholstery, matching RS-style door panels with red strap pulls, a multi-color wood-inlaid shift knob, and a replacement headliner and carpeting. The car lacks air conditioning, a heater, a radio, and rear seats.
A Porsche-crested Momo Prototipo steering wheel fronts a 180-mph VDO electronic speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer flanked by an analog clock and combination gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 50k miles, approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership.
The replacement 3.0-liter flat-six is said to have been rebuilt in early 2020 at Rive Sud Euro in Boucherville, Quebec, and features dual Weber carburetors in place of the factory fuel-injection system, as well as an aftermarket camshaft, an MSD ignition, and a lightweight flywheel. The carburetors were rebuilt and a tune-up was performed at Patrick Motorsports in preparation for the sale.
Gases exit by way of an M&K exhaust, and power is sent to the rear wheels through a rebuilt five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Refurbishment photos can be viewed in the previous BaT listing.
