The 16″ Style 33 wheels were fitted with 235/55 Kumho Solus tires in December 2021, at which time the front and rear brake pad wear sensors were also replaced. The car is equipped with a MacPherson strut semi-trailing arm suspension, a larger front anti-roll bar than the standard E24, and a rear anti-roll bar. Braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel discs with ABS and ventilated front rotors.
The cabin features power-adjustable front sport seats upholstered in tan leather along with a color-coordinated center console, rear seats, door panels, and carpets. Interior amenities include cruise control, front and rear conditioning, power windows and door locks, and an aftermarket CD stereo. A period cell phone is mounted to the center console.
The leather-wrapped airbag-equipped steering wheel frames a 170-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 78k miles, approximately 2,500 of which were added under current ownership.
The 3.5-liter S38B35 inline-six was factory rated at 256 horsepower and 243 lb-ft of torque. The engine oil, hood struts, and power steering pump were changed in December 2021 and the battery was replaced in August 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The clutch master and slave cylinders were reportedly replaced in December 2021.
