The 997 Turbo was distinguished from the contemporary Carrera by its revised bumper covers, lower front lip spoiler, side and rear intakes, flared rear fenders, and hydraulic speed-activated rear wing. This example is finished in black (A1) and features a power-operated black soft top, bi-xenon headlights with washers, integrated front fog lights, and dual exhaust outlets. Damage to the rear following an accident with another vehicle is noted on the Carfax report in July 2011, as a result of which the rear fascia was reportedly replaced. Paint-protection film is said to have been applied to the exterior under current ownership, and photos of the paint and trim can be viewed in the gallery below.
Factory 19″ forged alloy wheels are wrapped in 235/35 front and 305/30 rear Michelin Pilot Sport tires showing 2014 date codes. Braking is handled by cross-drilled rotors paired with Porsche-branded red-finish calipers at each corner. Equipment includes Porsche Stability Management and Porsche Active Suspension Management.
The cabin features power-adjustable, heated, and adaptive front sport seats trimmed in black leather with Porsche-crest logos on the headrests and white contrast stitching. Equipment includes automatic climate control, a dash-mounted chronograph, a Bose audio system, and an aftermarket touchscreen Pioneer stereo with Apple CarPlay compatibility and navigation. A Beltronics radar detector is mounted in the center stack.
The leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel frames white-dial instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,600-rpm redline, a 225-mph speedometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil temperature, and oil pressure. The digital odometer indicates approximately 28k miles, 3,500 of which were added by the seller.
The twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six was factory rated at 480 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque when new. The Sport Chrono Package allows the 997 Turbo to overboost for up to ten seconds, increasing peak rated torque to 505 ft-lb. Work since February 2021 has reportedly included an oil change and replacement of the battery and EVAP leak detection pump.
Power is sent to all four wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and an optional locking rear differential. Additional underside images can be viewed in the gallery.
The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity lists optional equipment, a production completion date of October 10, 2007, and a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $143,505.
Manufacturer’s literature is included in the sale along with two keys and the removed factory infotainment system.
