Scott Drake 15″ styled steel wheels are wrapped in BFGoodrich Silvertown Radial redline tires that were mounted in May 2018. Steering is provided by an RSS power rack-and-pinion system. Braking is achieved through SSBC-USA four-wheel disc brakes. Scott Drake suspension components include adjustable gas-charged coilovers as well as polyurethane bushings. The parking brake is said to be inoperative.
The cabin features blue and white deluxe reproduction upholstery from TMI Products with a color-coordinated dash pad and door panels as well as brushed aluminum door-panel and dashboard trim and dark blue carpeting that was replaced in March 2022. The front bucket seats from a 1995 Mustang feature power-adjustable lumbar and articulated thigh supports. Appointments include a folding Sport Deck rear seat, a Tony Branda reproduction rear package shelf assembly, an overhead console with map lights, a Vintage Air Sure-Fit HVAC system, and a Retrosound Classic Sound AM/FM radio with a front auxiliary input.
The three-spoke wood-rimmed steering wheel sits atop a Flaming River tilt steering column and fronts a Classic Instruments gauge set consisting of a 140-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for engine temperature, fuel level, and oil level. A matching boost gauge and ammeter are mounted on the bottom edge of the dash ahead of the shifter. The six-digit odometer indicates 11k miles, 10k of which were driven by the seller.
The Ford Racing 347ci stroker V8 is based on a Ford 302 race block and is equipped with a Holley Sniper fuel-injection system that was installed in January 2022. Ford Racing ceramic-coated long-tube headers flowing into a custom-fabricated 2.5″ stainless-steel dual exhaust system with MagnaFlow mufflers were installed by the previous owner. The distributor, battery, and fuel pump were replaced under current ownership.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a floor-shifted Tremec TKO 600 five-speed manual transmission, a DTS aluminum driveshaft, and a Currie 9″ rear end with a reproduction housing, 31-spline axles, a Trac-Lok differential, and a 3.70:1 final gear ratio. The clutch master cylinder was replaced in June 2017 and the Ford Racing heavy-duty clutch was replaced in January 2022.
The car will be accompanied by Ford corporate documentation, parts vendor lists and receipts, a CD containing build photos, SEMA show promotional literature, and six AMT/Ertl scale model kits of the car. Publications include six copies of the November 2007 issue of Mustang Monthly magazine in which the car appeared as the cover feature and 30 California Mustangs parts catalogs which picture the car on the front cover. Additionally, a Holley Street Avenger carburetor and service records from the seller and the car’s previous owner are included.
