The cabin features fixed-back bucket seats trimmed in red along with matching carpets and body-color surfaces. Equipment includes a red tonneau cover, lap belts, a wood shift knob, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, Volkswagen-branded pedals, and a fire extinguisher secured to the floor. The carpeting in the footwells is discolored, and a blemish on the passenger seat inner bolster is shown up close in the gallery below.
The wood-rimmed Nardi steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation that includes a 130-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and a combination gauge for oil temperature and fuel level. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 3k miles, approximately 100 of which have been added by the selling dealer.
The mid-mounted 1,915cc Volkswagen flat-four is equipped with dual Weber 40 IDF carburetors, Mahle 94mm pistons and cylinders, a heavy-duty 30mm aluminum oil pump, and a Porsche-branded fan shroud. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. The exhaust headers have been wrapped in a heat-insulating material, and additional underbody photos are available in the gallery.
